It was simply waiting.
Why we practice this way
You came here because something isn’t working. Maybe you’ve been told your labs are normal but you still don’t feel well. Maybe you’re carrying something you don’t have words for yet. Maybe you’ve felt rushed, reduced, or unheard by the healthcare system.
This practice exists for you.
We believe your body already knows how to heal. Our role is not to fix you. It is to listen, to look beneath the surface, and to support the healing that is already yours to have.
How we work with you
We practice whole-person care. That means your body, mind, and spirit are never treated as separate systems, because they aren’t. What shows up in one always touches the others.
Our method is built around two movements.
Unbraid. First, we gently work through what has accumulated, the patterns, the stress, the stories your body has been holding. We look for the root, not just the symptom.
Braid. Then we build. Together, we create a path forward rooted in how you actually want to feel. Whole. Grounded. Yourself again.
The braid as a framework carries roots in Indigenous traditions, in the understanding that wellness is not individual but relational, that land, story, and community are medicine, and that mind, body, and spirit are never separate. We hold this wisdom with deep humility and respect.
It has shaped how we see healing, and we are grateful to carry it forward in this way
What guides us
Nine principles, six drawn from naturopathic medicine, three from the particular way we practice here.
1. Rooted in Naturopathic Medicine
Every aspect of this practice is grounded in the six principles of naturopathic medicine, a tradition of evidence-based, whole-person care that has guided natural healing for over a century.
2. Whole Person Care
Body, mind, and spirit are not separate systems. Healing one always touches all three. We treat you as the whole, interconnected person you are.
3. Service-Led Practice
This work is in service of you, not performance. We show up with presence, not protocol. Your needs guide everything that happens in this practice.
4. Doctor as Teacher
Our role is to educate and empower, not create dependence. You leave every appointment with tools, language, and self-trust you can carry forward on your own.
5. The Healing Power of Nature
Your body has an innate intelligence that wants to move toward wholeness. We work with that intelligence, not against it. Nature is not an alternative to healing, it is the foundation of it.
6. Accessible and Inclusive
This work is for anyone who is ready to do it, regardless of where they are starting from.
We meet you there.
7. Connection and Community
We heal in connection. When we open to others, we open to ourselves. This practice is built on relationship, between patient and physician, between body and spirit, between you and your community.
8. Guardian of Internal Space
How we steward our inner environment shapes how we meet the outer world. Part of our work together is helping you tend that space with care.
9. Gratitude and Presence
Returning to the present moment, with gratitude, is itself a healing practice. We begin and end here, in the simple, radical act of showing up for what is.
